First Snowfall of 2008:

On Monday, the 8th we got our first snow fall of the season.  Logan was so excited when he woke up that morning and saw that it had and still was snowing!  So we got all bundled up and headed outside to shovel before Boston woke for the day (she is sleeping until at least 9 o'clock these days).  Mostly I just wanted to be able to have a little Logan & Me time, doing something he LOVES to do...play outside.  He was so excited to shovel with me, but the first little scoop he took his shovel cracked in half.  He was so disappointed!  But it didn't take long for him to find another way to do a little snow removal...

After we got done shoveling Boston still wasn't awake so we decided we would build a snowman!  Logan loves the "Once There Was A Snowman" actions & all.  He's so cute too because it makes him so excited.  That and "Ring Around The Rosies" and "You Are Special".  These songs totally brighten his day when we sing them!
Frosty rolling to life...

and isn't he just adorable?...

everyone needs a self portrait...yes Frosty too!
FYI: chocolate covered raisins don't work well for a snowman's face...they slide right out!
Log was just so happy about his snowman.  He kept doing this...
until his head started sliding off of his body... then he got a little scared that he's so fragile!
FROSTY
December 8, 2008
9:00 am-10:30 am
At approximately 10:30 am after many, many trips by a 3 year old to gaze out of his bedroom window and talk to Frosty, he gazed out again to find to his disappointment that his beloved Frosty had fallen to the ground.  He lost his chilly life to the force of a 3 year old neighbor boy, who didn't know any better, or so we'd like to believe.
He was very much loved during the hour and a half he stood in the front of our home with his jolly happy soul, his black wool scarf and a carrot nose and two eyes made out of raisins.  Frosty the snowman was a very wanted friend.  He was made of snow but Logan feels that he came to life one day.  There must have been some magic in that sparkly woolly hat, for when we placed it one his head we began to sing the snowman song with much more meaning.  O' Frosty the snowman was alive as he could be.  To Logan he could laugh and play just the same as you and me... We waived goodbye saying, we won't cry, we know you'll be back someday!

He is survived by his friends.
