Celebrating the life of Gordon B. Hinckley...

I was not prepared for this day. I seriously thought back when Sister Majorie Pay Hinckley passed away and conference was held shortly after, that there were "hints" that he wasn't going to be our living Prophet for much longer. That was nearly 4 years ago.
President Hinckley has been the president of our church for 12 of the 26 years of my life. When he was my age he had just completed a successful two year mission to the British Isles and returned home to the U.S. at the peak of the Great Depression. What an incredible biography he holds. He is such an incredible, wise, & selfless man. I am so excited that one day I can teach my children about the prophet of my younger years...Gordon B. Hinckley. I have always had a strong love for him and the way he lead the church. He had a contagious grin.-- I oftentimes would be listening to him speak during conference and realize that I was grinning from ear to ear, just staring at him like he was talking to me personally. I am so grateful for the work that he has done for our church. He is and always will be loved and cherished in our home. We are forever grateful to him for the spirit that he has and for his holiness that he was able to lead us into righteous living, as members of this great gospel.

Even though it is a sad day for the lives of many, just imagine the moment that he was reunited with his eternal companion and the love of his life, Sister Hinckley. Picturing it just makes me cry.

on a much different note...
Yes, I have some serious bloggin to do! Updating mine and reading & commenting on others (I don't like to read someones posts without sending a comment their way...so I try to every time...even if I am a stranger... it's funny cuz I feel like I know perfect strangers better than my own neighbors!) I know that I haven't updated my blog for quite a while! Even Stacey is getting after me!!! He asks me every day if I've updated it....funny cuz I used to get so much grief from him about blogs....I think he secretly enjoys them, and even checks out most of yours! ha....he's funny. So tomorrow is a busy day...I have my Visiting Teachers coming in the morning and then I have Achievement Day in the afternoon....plus MONDAY's ARE CLEAN DAYS! So I'll see if I can't find a little minute to recap on the past week. But for now... be patient with me!!! :) Oh and P.S. I did get my Lil' Scrap Shack A.K.A. CK Designs up and working to sell kits...and already had buyers for the Valentines Kit!!! Yeah! :) I'm so happy about it. Now if I can just find time to D-E-S-I-G-N!!! :) Oh and I really really really hate this weather....give me summer...I NEED SUMMER!
