Pottytraining Update...

Logan has done so well the past 4 days...no accidents, which includes going poop on the toilet! (Please excuse the tacky & tasteless language on this post! #1 & #2 could be substitutes, but I find them kind of grade school! I guess I could leave this one out entirely but hey it's been my LIFE lately!...mine and Logan's!) Getting back...YEAH! I am so proud of him. If anyone knows "Teddy" Logan's beloved stuffed animal, you would know just how much he means to him! He's his sidekick! We were having a hard getting Logan to go poop in the toilet and not in his underwear. He would cry whenever we were trying to explain it to him. We had tried taking trucks away (1 for pee pee accident and 2 for poop accident) and that wasn't working too well. It got to the point that I would ask him if he needed to go potty and if he did we better go in the bathroom or else Mom would have to take 2 trucks away... he would just go get two trucks and come to me and say, "here Mom!" So much for that idea! So we were resorted to using Teddy as a punishment for having an accident. Sure enough, that night he had an accident, not even an hour after our long talk with him about how Teddy would be taken away from him if he had an accident and he wouldn't be able to get him back until he successfully went potty (#2) on the toilet. Stacey told him that Teddy would have to sleep out with Mason in the garage. Logan picked Teddy up, gave him a kiss, and handed him to Stacey and said "NaNon" A.K.A Mason our dog. I couldn't believe that he so willingly gave Teddy up, and it broke my heart to take him away! I kept thinking about the long night we were going to have and how hard it would be to put Logan to bed... I even told Stacey that I wasn't strong enough to take Teddy away cuz I needed my sleep that night! But I am happy to report that not one tear shed for Teddy's absence. I think he really understood that he did a no no and that’s just the way it was. Stace thought it was prime opportunity to take Teddy away for good, but I on the other had love Teddy being around and don't mind if he says forever! The morning came and of course Logan asked about Teddy! I told him once he goes potty like a big boy on the toilet then he can have Ted back. He did...and has ever since!
On Friday Stacey had the day off so we decided to take the day to get some things done that have been on our to do list for quite some time. We had to switch cell plans, return some things from Christmas...(ya Christmas!) and a few other odds and ends. We had been gone for about 4 hours from our home (*Note I had put a pull-up on Logan before we had left...I know, a stupid thing to do while potty training because it makes them think they have a diaper on again. But we call it underwear as well and I was just hoping that he would still tell us when he needed to go.) So we had been gone for a while. The kids both just sat in the car, with either Stacey or I was in Alltel. After we got our phone situation all settled we enjoyed a yummy lunch at Sizzler (I love the salad bar!). Then we went to the mall and Boston stayed in her car seat while Logan just held my hand. When we were leaving the mall Stacey got the bright idea to go into Denver Mattress just to "see" what they have and "check out" the prices of a king size mattress. So were roamed around the store, talked to a saleslady, and checking out the beds. All of a sudden Logan ran up to me and said "Poop" (which he says every time he needs to go potty, against my parenting demands may I add...its quite embarrassing!) and so I rushed to find a bathroom. I was so surprised to see that he hadn't had one accident in his pull-up! I can just tell he is so proud of himself and really takes pride in the fact that he is a "big boy"!
